This expedition begins in Vallecitos, just before the Cordón del Plata. This tour is used for the acclimatization needed in order to climb the Aconcagua. After climbing El Plata Mount of 6,300 mts. of height, we'll start our expedition to Aconcagua.
Day 1
Arribo al aeropuerto de Mendoza y desde el aeropuerto al hotel.
Reception at the airport and transport to the hotel in Mendoza city.
This service includes breakfast and dinner in a restaurant in Mendoza.
Day 2
Mendoza – Refuge San Antonio (2.500 mts)
Transport from the hotel to the permit office. (Ascension permits are not included)
Transport from the permit office to Vallecitos.
Arriving to the Refuge San Antonio near noon.
Day 3
Refuge San Antonio – Sist. La Cadenita (C° Arengares, Lomas Blancas, C° Estudiantes, C° Caucaso, C° Iluso – 4.000 mts.)
After breakfast we head for Sistema La Cadenita.
This service includes a box lunch for the walking, a snack in the afternoon, and dinner on our way back to the refuge San Antonio.
Refuge San Antonio – Camp I (Piedra Grande 3.400 mts)
After breakfast we walk to Camp 1 (Piedra Grande).
This service includes box lunch for the walk and a snack and dinner on the mountain.
Camp 1 – Camp 2 (Salto de Agua 4150 mts)
In the morning we leave Camp 1 for Camp 2 (Salto de Agua 4150 mts).
This service includes box lunch for the walk and a snack and dinner on the mountain.
Camp 2 – Summit C° El Plata (6100 mts) – Camp 2
The Summit. We leave Camp 2 for the summit of Cordon El Plata.
This day includes box lunch for the walk and a snack and dinner on the mountain.
Camp 2 – Sky Club - Penitentes
The way back. We will head for the Sky Club (Vallecitos), there will be a transport waiting for us to take us to the hotel Ayelen in Penitentes.
This day includes box lunch for the walk, lunch in Uspallata and dinner, breakfast and lodging at a hotel in Penitentes.
Penitentes - Confluencia
After breakfast we leave Penitentes and go to Confluencia where we will spend the night
This day includes box lunch for the walk, lunch and dinner in Confluencia.
Confluencia – Plaza de Mulas
After breakfast we head towards Plaza de Mulas (4200 mts).
This day includes box lunch for the walk, lunch and dinner in Plaza de Mulas.
Leisure Day
This day is just to rest and recover strengths.
This day includes breakfast, lunch and dinner at Base Camp.
Porter to Camp 1 (Plaza Canada)
Alter breakfast we will transport our equipment to Camp 1 (Plaza Canada) and we go back to Plaza de Mulas.
This day includes box lunch for the walk and dinner in Plaza de Mulas.
Plaza Canada
After breakfast we start the ascension. We go to Camp 1 (Plaza de Canada) where we will spend the night.
This day includes box lunch for the walk and food on the mountain.
Camp 2 (Nido de Condores)
After breakfast we head towards Camp 2 (Nido de Condores) where we will spend the night.
This day includes box lunch for the walk and food on the mountain.
Camp 2 – Leisure Day
Este día es tomado para descansar y recuperar fuerzas.
Este día incluye box lunch para la caminata y comida en la montaña.
Camp 3 (Berlin)
In the morning we leave Camp 2 and head towards Camp 3 (Berlin) where we will spend the night.
This day includes box lunch for the walk and food on the mountain.
Summit - Berlin
If everything turns out fine, very early in the morning we will start for the summit, reaching Berlin on our way down in the afternoon where we will spend the night.
This day includes box lunch for the walk and food on the mountain.
Berlin – Plaza de Mulas.
After breakfast we head towards Base Camp (Plaza de Mulas).
This day includes box lunch for the walk and dinner at Base Camp (Plaza de Mulas).
Plaza de Mulas - Penitentes
After our breakfast at Base Camp we will head towards Penitentes.
This day includes box lunch for the walk and dinner and breakfast in a hotel in Penitentes.
Extra Day
This day is an extra day just in case there is bad weather, or it is too cold, etc.
Return to Mendoza
After breakfast there will be a transport waiting for us to take us to Mendoza where we will spend the night.
This service includes lodging with breakfast and dinner in a restaurant in Mendoz
Departure from Mendoza
After breakfast there will be a transport from the hotel in Mendoza to Mendoza airport.
- Transport from the hotel in Penitentes to the Park's entrance, located in Horcones.
- Transport from the Park's entrance, located in Horcones, to the hotel located in Penitentes.
- Use of W.C. at Base Camp.
- Place to store equipment, in our deposits in Penitentes and in our Base Camp in Plaza de Mulas.
- Service to take the garbage out from the Park, being Andesport in charge.
- Permanent radio communication between our Base Camp and Penitentes.
- The use of Gammow Bag and Oxygen tube if necessary.
- Permanent staff taking care of the equipment at Base Camp.
- Assistance for the ascension permit paperwork.
- Assistance with the reconfirmation of flight tickets.
- Mules to carry the equipmente.
